Wake County ABC is now delivering to Mixed Beverage Permittees.

Starting July 1, 2022, Wake County ABC will begin offering a delivery service to mixed beverage permittees located in Wake County.  As national trends and service models have changed over the past five years, Wake County ABC is proud to offer this service to customers.  Instead of coordinating this service internally, we have chosen to contract with multiple vendors.  These Delivery Companies are family owned small businesses located here in Wake County.  We feel that this will help the local economy but also allow for more flexibility than if we were to perform the service “in house”.

To use this service and get an order delivered to your business, there are a certain steps needing to be followed.  Please be sure to read over the procedure below so as to eliminate any potential confusion or disruption of service.

STEP 1 – SET UP

Any Mixed Beverage Permittee desiring to have orders delivered shall have an account through Fintech.  The Fintech service is a method of payment and is already being used by many permitted establishments.  If an order is placed for delivery and a Fintech account has not been established, then there could be disruption of service.  If your permitted establishment does not have an account with Fintech, one can be established by visiting https://fintech.com/contact/.  Once an account has been created with Fintech, Wake County ABC staff will be notified.  Wake County ABC will then approve the usage of the Fintech account once all required documents (letter of credit or bank guarantee) have been received.  For questions on this process or any other initial information required, one can contact our Mixed Beverage Coordinator Ms. Chani Pearson at 919.832.2726 or cpearson@wakeabc.com

STEP 2 – ORDERING

Once everything is set up through Fintech, you are ready to create an order through the usual Elicensee process.  To do that, you can go to https://wakeabc.elicensee.com/licensee/login.  Place an order as usual.  When prompted, click on the box noting that you are interested in having this order delivered.  The charge for delivery will be a $100 flat rate fee which will be added onto your final order total.  It doesn’t matter if the order is for 20 bottles or 200 bottles, the $100 flat fee will remain the same.  We here at Wake County ABC explored several options for this charge and discovered this was the best option at this time.

After checking the box noting you desire to have your order delivered, then you will need to supply an email address in the space provided so that you can be contacted if needed.  Please also put details in the comment section for any potential instructions.  Wake County ABC, and the Delivery Contractor, will do our best to accommodate your details.

Wake County ABC, and the delivery Contractor, will do our best to fulfill your order as quickly as possible.  Please note that demand has grown and we try to do our best to be as efficient and prompt as possible.  Your patience is much appreciated.  Here is an estimated delivery schedule depending upon when an order is placed.

  • If you place your order after 1:00 pm on Monday, delivery will most likely take place on Wednesday.
  • If you place your order after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, delivery will most likely take place on Thursday.
  • If you place your order after 1:00 pm on Wednesday, delivery will most likely take place on Friday.
  • If you place your order after 1:00 pm on Thursday, delivery will most likely take place on Monday.
  • If you place your order after 1:00 pm on Friday, delivery will most likely take place on Tuesday.

Please note that delivery schedules will be effected by the Holidays recognized by Wake County ABC.  These Holidays are New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

STEP 3 – ORDER FULFILMENT

All delivery orders will be fulfilled out of our Wicker Drive Warehouse location.  They will not be completed through any store.  Once you have placed an order and it is fulfilled, you will receive an email message to the address you provided.  That same email message will be sent to the Delivery Contractor notifying them your order is ready to be picked up and delivered.  The delivery Contractor will coordinate with Wake County ABC staff on picking up and verifying that the order matches the bottles that are stamped.  The Delivery Contractor will sign the paperwork and start the delivery route.

STEP 4 – DELIVERY

Per North Carolina State Law, once the order has been verified and picked up, it is the responsibility and liability of the Delivery Contractor.  If a bottle were to be damaged during delivery, it will be replaced (if available) or credited to you by the Delivery Contractor.  The Delivery Contractor will notify Wake County ABC to coordinate bottle replacement so that everything is properly stamped.  As mentioned before, to maximize efficiency with delivery, please make sure that you put any and all details in the comment section when creating your order.

If you should have any questions or problems with the delivery service, please contact our offices at 919.832.2726.  You may also email General Manager Bryan Hicks (bhicks@wakeabc.com) or Mixed Beverage Coordinator Chani Pearson (cpearson@wakeabc.com).  It is our goal to provide an efficient and effective service to all those Mixed Beverage Permittees in Wake County.
