The Wake County Board of Alcoholic Control distributed the following funds from its operation for the year ending June 30, 2017:

Law Enforcement:  $919,693.29
Municipalities:  $4,218,473.65
Wake County Government:  $6,500,000.00
Alcohol Education & Rehabilitation:  $4,618,000.00
State of North Carolina:  $38,689,393.86

Division of Revenue

Gross Profits:

  • Law enforcement – follows GS 18B-805(c) (2)
  • Alcohol education – follows local enabling act – at least 7%

Net Profits:

  • 27% to Angier, Apex, Cary, Clayton, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Raleigh, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell and Zebulon in proportion to ad valorem taxes to whole-follows GS 18B-805(e)
  • Remainder to Wake County General Fund of which $100,000 may be spent for water and sewer lines and manufacturing advantages of the area
